How to export your data

Portfolio Tracker works with CSV files from any broker. Find your broker below for step-by-step instructions on downloading your trade history.

Interactive Brokers (IBKR)
  1. Log in to Client Portal or Trader Workstation.
  2. Go to Performance & Reports > Statements.
  3. Select Activity Statement and choose your date range.
  4. Set the format to CSV and click Run.
  5. Download the file and upload it to Portfolio Tracker.

Tip: Activity Statements include trades, dividends, and fees in one file.

Charles Schwab
  1. Log in to Schwab.com.
  2. Go to Accounts > History.
  3. Set your date range and filter by the transactions you want.
  4. Click Export to download as a CSV file.
  5. Upload the file to Portfolio Tracker.

Tip: You can export up to 2 years of history at a time.

Fidelity
  1. Log in to Fidelity.com.
  2. Go to Accounts & Trade > Account Positions or Activity & Orders.
  3. Select the account and date range.
  4. Click Download and choose CSV format.
  5. Upload the file to Portfolio Tracker.

Tip: For a complete view, export from the Activity & Orders page.

TD Ameritrade / thinkorswim
  1. Log in to TDAmeritrade.com (or thinkorswim).
  2. Go to My Account > History & Statements.
  3. Choose your date range and transaction types.
  4. Click Download and select CSV.
  5. Upload the file to Portfolio Tracker.

Tip: TD Ameritrade accounts have migrated to Schwab — check Schwab if you can't find your history here.

E*Trade
  1. Log in to ETrade.com.
  2. Go to Accounts > Transactions.
  3. Select the account and set your date range.
  4. Click Download and choose Spreadsheet (CSV).
  5. Upload the file to Portfolio Tracker.

Tip: For RSU vests, check the Stock Plan section under My Account.

Robinhood
  1. Open the Robinhood app or log in at robinhood.com.
  2. Go to Account > Statements & History > Account Statements.
  3. Select your monthly statement and download it.
  4. Alternatively, request your account data export from Settings > Account Information > Download Your Account Data.
  5. Upload the CSV file to Portfolio Tracker.

Tip: The account data export gives you the most complete trade history.

Vanguard
  1. Log in to Vanguard.com.
  2. Go to Transaction history under your account.
  3. Set the date range you want.
  4. Click Download and choose CSV.
  5. Upload the file to Portfolio Tracker.

Tip: Vanguard's export includes both trades and dividend reinvestments.

Other Brokers
  1. Log in to your brokerage account.
  2. Find the transaction history, trade history, or statements section.
  3. Look for a Download or Export button — choose CSV or Excel format.
  4. If your broker only offers PDF statements, check for a separate data export option in account settings.
  5. Upload the file to Portfolio Tracker — our parser will auto-detect the format.

Tip: Don't see your broker listed? Portfolio Tracker's smart parser handles most CSV formats automatically. If it can't auto-detect your columns, you'll be guided through a quick mapping step.
